Our annual update releases, which include lots of new functions and further developments, are the main focus of our development department. We use them to bring the wishes of our users to fruition, and to develop the programme of the future.
We want to make it easier for you to choose a programme, by offering you a free test version and a step by step training plan. Test it now and form your own impression.
Smartphones for ViSoft VR
You can run ViSoft VR on many popular models. The operating system version must be at least Android Version 5.0 or iOS Version 9. On the hardware side, 2+ GB of RAM, an accelerometer and a gyroscope (for precise determination of the position within the room) are required.
For an optimum view, we recommend a screen size of at least 4.5 inches.
Currently recommended models: Huawei 10, Honor 10 and iPhone 7.
The Samsung models, Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6, can currently be recommended without restriction. However, due to unavoidable new software settings that are expected, newer models will have disadvantages in terms of the picture quality. Basically, pixel devices are not recommended either, for the same reason.
For our ViSoft Premium courses, we are currently using HP Omen 17- an028ng (approx. EUR 1,200) ourselves.
At the moment, we do not have a recommendation for the purchase of a laptop that we have tested for permanent use of HTC-Vive, because generally, we specifically recommend using a desktop PC. One example of a laptop with the mimimum 1080 series graphics card requirements would be the ASUS GX501VI-GZ020T (approx. EUR 2,800).
There are many good models on the market. The choice of monitor is based on factors such as size, required resolution, accurate colour representation, eye-friendliness and ergonomic factors, design and price. Our support team will gladly help you to make an appropriate choice.
Currently, we recommend the Samsung MU7009 series models or better. Even those with large monitors offer an excellent price/performance ratio. The follow-on MU8009 series, with its 65 inch screen, is a bit more expensive, but, when we tested it, we were hardly able to detect the theoretically better image quality.
If you want to demonstrate ViSoft Premium in UHD (4K) on a television on the shop floor, per live module, (without the menu interface on the television), you do not need a UHD monitor at your workplace.
